Bioregional Briefing Room

Bioregional Briefing Room is a rolling, recorded series hosted by the Atlantic Isles Bioregional Finance & Governance Community of Practice. As bioregioning comes of age and steps into a more visible role in the world we felt the need to brief ourselves on topics such as pro-social AI and how that could play a role in bioregional governance; how bioregions fit into future modelling of climate change and responses to that; geo-politics and the nexus with violence and resources; the interface between bioregional financing facilities and the global economy; and more. We will post these as they happen and hope you find them of value.

We convene practitioners, policy-makers, technologists, researchers and community leaders to brief our community on emerging topics shaping bioregional practice, and to share the learning. While our conversations happen in a closed room, we are sharing the recordings publicly because the ideas, tools and stories could be of great value to bioregional practitioners around the world. In the future we plan to cover topics such as how bioregions show up in climate modelling and response, the geopolitics-resources-violence nexus, and how bioregional finance can interface with the wider economy.
